A great day’s diving. Good sunny weather, mid week so only 6 divers on site, good vis – certainly up to 10m and a good bracing temperature especially below 15m. Tony Hillgrove, John Wilkinson and Richard Knights from Plymouth met up with Dom Walley from Totnes. The main aim was equipment check out time – but also good going up the tunnel and then diving the tubes drop off. Not quite Eastern Kings but good vis down to 28m.

The nice thing about Vobster apart from the friendly staff and the good muzak is if you have an early season equipment problem then there’s a good chance it can be sorted out on site. Certainly better than taking your chances at sea on the rib. And although Vobster is cold, it makes the early season sea temperature seem warm – what is there to complain about?
